 EDITOR REVIEW: DOWNTOWN. Locally owned and operated, this downtown trattoria provides hungry patrons with a bit of Old Country flavor to soothe their hungry souls (and appetites). The intimate scene looks as if it's been taken straight from Mulberry Street: subdued lighting, Italian opera or Old Blue Eyes crooning, and classy tables. Indeed, if the intent is to impress with a romantic dinner setting, then Mamma Mia's is right on target. Masterful cuisine ranges from staples like chicken marsala to creative fare like fried shrimp parmesan with linguini and tomato sauce.
